What is RESOLVE? |
|
Resolve is a Christian Mediation and Arbitration Service which exists to encourage and assist Christians to respond to conflict in a biblical manner. Its primary purpose is to provide an advice and mediation service to help resolve disputes whether arising in business or church and to reconcile the parties involved. It seeks to serve all Christians regardless of denomination wherever disputes cannot be resolved through the local church or individuals known to the parties. Resolve is a non profit making company limited by guarantee. Both the Directors and the members of the Advisory Board are drawn from widely different backgrounds, professions and church denominations. Resolve is also able to call on persons from a number of different areas of expertise and experience who may be appointed to act as mediators or arbitrators according to the nature of the dispute. |

1 Corinthians 6:1-8 says.... If any of you has a dispute against another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgement instead of before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge the trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! Therefore if you have disputes about such matters, appoint as judges even men of little account in the church! I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you who is wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? But instead one brother goes to law against another - and this in front of unbelievers!... Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? Instead you yourselves cheat and do wrong and you do this to your own brothers. |
